Andamans are Coral islands, with white sand beaches, and surrounded by the pristine beauty of Nature. The sea has gifted this island with everything required to attract any sea loving human. The Coral reefs, though damaged, still holds ample beauty to stun the visitor. The exquisite marine life and aquatic ecology offer some of the best snorkelling and diving in the world. Sensing the potential in water sports these islands have, many organisation open and close every year. Organised diving and snorkelling courses can still be said in its infancy here.

Andaman Water Sports Complex

This unique complex offers all possible aqua-sport facilities like Water-skiing, Sail boats, Windsurfing, Speed Boats etc., and safe water sports like Paddle Boats, Row Boats etc. There are facilities for safe Water Sports such as Rowing Boats, Paddle Boats, Kayaks, Aqua-cycle, Aqua-glide, Bumper boats, etc. There is a sea water swimming pool and a change room. Dont forget to visit the Memorial for the Battle of Aberdeen fought between Britishers and Andamanee aboriginals in 1859. Nearby is an Amusement Park with Rollercoaster, Pleasure rides etc. and a children Traffic Park is adjacent to it, with an artificial water-fall.

Snorkeling

One can enjoy the under-water marine life and view the rarest varieties of corals by snorkeling in the Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park, Carbyn's Cove Tourism Complex, Havelock and other islands on all days from dawn to dusk depending on the weather. 

Island Camping

Camps are just the right choice for the nature-lovers who wish to enjoy the sun, sea and the pristine beauty of nature by spending quiet holidays right on the beach. Tents are available on hire at all the Guest Houses at moderate rates.

Scuba Diving


Diving in Andaman waters offer a fascinating world of under-water marine life, varieties of colourful fishes, rarest of the coral reefs in the world, mysterious remains of sunken ships etc. All these can be explored through SCUBA diving. Before you take a leap into the sea there are few things which one should keep in mind. Do not touch or disturb any marine organism they might be destroyed and rendered damaged as many already have been. Do not make attempts to collect corals as they might be damaged. Keep the strokes of fins slow and delicate when close to the reefs.

Trekking


Most of the Andamans are hilly and forested, Saddle Peak on North Andaman, which rises to 732 m, is the highest point. One can go trekking through the nature trail from Mt. Harriet to Madhuban and enjoy the rare forest life, flora and fauna. There are other trekking routes also, Trekking equipment and the tents are available on hire from Andaman Teal House.
