INTRODUCTION

CLASSIFICATION OF DISEASES

Dr. Hahnemann classified dynamic diseases or disease proper into two types: Acute diseases and Chronic diseases

Acute disease: These are the diseases which have a sudden onset, a rapid course and ends in recovery (with the help of the vital force) or death (if not treated timely) e.g. viral fever, typhoid fever etc.

Chronic disease: These are the diseases which have a gradual onset, a slow but steady course leading to long standing suffering or death unless treated properly e.g. diabetes, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure etc.
